Protecting and improving the health of honey bees in England and Wales

The Healthy Bees Plan was published by Defra and the Welsh Government in March 2009 following  consultation with beekeepers and the main Beekeeping Associations. It sets out a plan for Government, beekeepers and other stakeholders to work together to respond effectively to pest and disease threats and to put in place programmes to ensure a sustainable and productive future for beekeeping In England and Wales.

The NBU will be in the forefront of delivering the five key objectives of the plan.
