How do I edit my details using my secure access?

Log in to view your beekeeping record details using the facility at the top right of the website home page (Problems logging in?)

This will direct you to a welcome page with an index to the left of the page featuring both apiary and personal detail tabs.

To update apiary details:
- Select the 'My Apiaries' option; this will display an overview of the different apiary details we hold for you. Apiaries appear in alphabetical ordered tabs below your ID number with a maximum of 6 on any one page. To move pages, please use the selection below the apiary details.

- To add a new apiary please click the green ‘cross’ icon to the right of your ID No., at the top of the page.
Complete the relevant mandatory fields. Map references can be obtained using Streepmap, once you have your apiary location centered on the map (either by postcode or general location) select the 'convert coordinates' option below the map. The coordinate we require is the LR reference. Select the 'floppy disc' icon at the top of the page to save your data.

Currently beekeepers are not permitted to remove apiaries from BeeBase as this can ultimately remove inspection data held for them. If there are no longer bees kept at the site you can mark an apiary 'non-current' by editing it (see below). However, if bees were never kept at the site and no historic information is listed for it, you can contact the NBU office to remove the apiary.

- To edit apiary details select the 'pencil icon', this will allow you to edit information including colony numbers. To save any changed data click the floppy disc icon at the top of the page.

- The three tabs 'View my inspections by colony', 'View my inspections by date' and 'Add a new inspection' all relate to your own personal beekeeping records NOT NBU inspection data. These tabs will remain empty until you use the facility.

Inspection data collected during a visit from an official inspector is held within the 'NBU records' tab. This includes any results from samples sent in to the NBU laboratory.

- To add a new inspection record please use the 'add new inspection' tab and use the drop down menus to select your required fields.

Personal Details
Similarly in the 'My Personal Details' section, selecting the pencil icon will allow you to edit your details and the floppy disc icon will save any updated information.

N.B. If you hover over an icon with your mouse, a note will come up to say what its functionality is.
