Following formation of the Bee Health Advisory Forum (BHAF) in October 2012 it was decided for the forum to still have access to the working groups, but rather than the working groups meeting quarterly, the Board would commission work for them to complete on an ad hoc basis.
Project Management Board
This section provides information about the work of the Healthy Bees project management Board. Their role was to manage the Healthy Bees Plan and ensure the following outcomes were delivered:
- Effective management of pests and diseases;
- Improved husbandry standards through a coordinated beekeeper learning programme;
- Effective biosecurity to minimise risks from pests, diseases and undesirable species;
- Sound science and evidence to underpin bee health policy and its implementation; and,
- Coordinated and effective communications.
